Elizabeth Louise Ebel
Elizabeth Louise Ebel, 92, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2013 at her home in Fargo, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born July 19, 1920, in Jamestown, ND, and grew up on a farmstead in Buchanan, ND. She graduated valedictorian at Buchanan High School and after high school, moved with her parents to Fargo. Betty worked at Bell Telephone and lived with her parents. She met Roland Ebel in Fargo and he enlisted in the Army. They were married in Louisville, KY, on April 8, 1945, where they lived for two months until Roland was sent to the Philippines. Betty then returned to Fargo and resumed working at Bell Telephone for several years. When Roland returned, they continued to live in Fargo. They were residents of Fargo, Moorhead, Lake Eunice, MN, and lastly Fargo, where Roland died in 1999. Betty remained in Fargo at their apartment and later resided with her son Gary and his wife Valerie from February 2011 until her death.

Jane Marie Rulon
59, died August 22, 2012. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and moved with her family to Indianapolis when her father George Rulon joined the staff of the American Legion National Headquarters. Attending Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Grade School, Bishop Chatard High School and graduating from the University of Iowa in Journalism with a minor in French she continued her love of learning by participating in a global stage when working in Washington DC at the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States. In support of her family and with a fashion flair, Jane moved to Indianapolis to serve as Director of the Indiana Film Commission. Building community and bringing vision into reality was one of her many unique talents. Recognized in 2004 with the NUVO Cultural Vision Award, Jane is survived by her sister Elizabeth Rulon (Michael) Keele; nephew and nieces John, Kate and Anne Keele; cousins Steven (Jenny) Schreiner; Joseph ( Jeanne) Schreiner, and Fr. Robert Schreiner; second cousins Adam, Evan, Chris, Shaun, Devon and Caitlin Schreiner. A private green burial was arranged by Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North Indianapolis, Indiana. On Sunday, September 23, from 3-7PM at The Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis, family and friends will gather to enjoy music and exchange Jane stories. The funeral Mass will be celebrated in Fargo, North Dakota at a later date. Contributions may be made to The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation PO Box 20857 Indianapolis,

The DCCC is trying to link North Dakota’s Republican U.S. House candidate Kevin Cramer with a Florida Republican congressman who is alleged to have funneled money from his corporations into his campaign treasury in order to evade taxes. The Cramer campaign received $5,000 in allegedly tainted money.
