Lucille Ann Wills
Lucille Ann Wills, 90, Leonard, North Dakota, passed away January 1, 2013, at Bethany Retirement Center, Fargo, North Dakota. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2013, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Leonard, with Rev. John Flaa officiating. Burial will be in Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, North Dakota. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lucille Roesler was born March 15, 1922, on the family farm northwest of Leonard, North Dakota, to Edward and Anna (Berndt) Roesler. She was the youngest of eight children. She attended Maple River Elementary and graduated from Lincoln High School, Casselton, North Dakota, in 1940. On June 19, 1941, she married Hamilton Wills at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Her life was spent as a homemaker and mother who stated “My children were my life.” Lucille enjoyed china painting, hardanger, needlework, such as Brazilian Embroidery, cooking and baking. Anyone who stopped by was guaranteed a cup of coffee and a baked treat. She was a 4-H leader, and a charter member of the Dakota Prairie Quilter’s Guild, and a member of the Fargo China Painter’s Guild.
