Letter: A little lesson in Shakespeare
If the writer of the lead story’s headline, “Heavy is the head that wears the crown” on The Forum’s Saturday, Sept. 1, front page is trying to quote Shakespeare, he’s just flunked English 101.

Letter: Big headline should embarrass
The Forum’s screaming mega-point headline on the Oct. 23 front page forecasting a Romney landslide in North Dakota reminded me of the time I followed a car with a personalized “Styx” license plate.

Letter: Again, newspaper serves up a joke
So now, the folks who think a woman marrying herself is so important that it deserves front-page coverage in the region’s largest newspaper all of a sudden think they are better qualified to decide discipline for college football players than the players’ coaches and athletic director, eh?

Letter: We are paying our fair share
The gist of The Forum’s Sept. 21 front-page story titled “We’re paying our fair share” was that a high percentage of North Dakota and Minnesota residents pay some federal income tax. I have no reason to dispute that claim. However, the term “fair share” may have other meanings.

Forum editorial: Two great collegiate programs
One of the more interesting statistical comparisons in Monday’s front-page Forum story about University of North Dakota ice hockey and North Dakota State University football was season ticket holders for both sports. The report by Forum reporter Jeff Kolpack and Grand Forks Herald reporter Brad Schlossman took a look at the impact and popularity of the schools’ marquee sports programs.
