Donald "Don" L. Hoffman
Donald "Don" L. Hoffman, 94, Jamestown, ND died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Don was born June 20, 1918 in Eldridge, ND, the son of George and Anna M. (Lippert) Hoffman. He grew up in the Eldridge area and graduated from Eldridge High School. Don entered the US Army on February 10, 1941 and served in the 164 infantry H company in the Asiatic Pacific Theater in the Solomon Islands and the Philippines. He was honorably discharged on August 25, 1945 in Ft. Lewis, WA and received the bronze star. On January 10, 1948 Don married Lorraine Hertel in Aberdeen, SD. He worked construction and later for the ND Highway Department, from where he retired in 1980.
