Kenneth “Kenny” Kilbride
Kenneth, age 78, of Fargo, ND, formerly Comstock, MN, died on January 13, 2013 in his home under the wonderful care of Hospice of the Red River Valley surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth Richard Kilbride was born on September 23, 1934 to James and Regina (Vitt) Kilbride in Fargo, ND. He grew up and attended school in Fargo. Kenny was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Fargo. On January 24, 1953, he married Genelle Peterson in Comstock Lutheran Church. Together they were blessed with three children. Kenny worked for Armor and Co. before farming in the Comstock area for a short while. He then worked for Ystebo Drywall before starting his own drywall business, G & K Drywall, with his business partner, Bill Gibbons. In 1977, Kenny and Genelle purchased the Best Western motel in Willmar, MN which they operated for 12 ½ years before selling it in 1989 at which time they moved back to Comstock. At that time, Kenny worked for Dean’s Bulk Service in Barnesville, MN until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and getting together with family and friends at their lake cabin, which he built on Lake Lida. Blessed be the memory of Kenneth. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell. Kenny will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
