Hedy Nagel
Hedy passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo at the age of 55, surrounded by her loving family. She was diagnosed in April of this year with cancer and fought a courageous battle for the past 5 months.

Hedy Svaleson was born on October 11, 1957, the daughter of Alvin and Dagny (Forde) Svaleson in Hillsboro. She grew up in Hillsboro, graduated from Hillsboro High School and later from Valley City State College. Hedy returned to Hillsboro and was united in marriage to Mel Nagel on December 8, 1984 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. They made their home in Hillsboro where she worked as gaming manager for the Hillsboro Economic Development for nearly 20 years.
