Harris Trosen
Harris Trosen, 74, of Fordville ND passed away suddenly Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his cabin on Maple Lake near Mentor Minnesota.

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Harris was born on August 19th, 1938 at Inkster ND to Kossuth and Mary (Burris) Trosen. Raised to manhood in the Inkster Area, Harris attended Akers Business College after graduation and spent a long career with the Bremer Bank System as the Manager of the Fordville Location. Harris married his soul mate Mary Vernes on November 11th, 1958 and spent the next 55 years of his life dedicated to his wife and four children.

Lloyd C Kempf
Lloyd C. Kempf, 85, of Sun Lakes, AZ passed away peacefully on May 17, 2013. Lloyd was born March 6, 1928 in Ashley, ND to Michael and Lydia Kempf. Upon graduation from Bismarck High School he enlisted in the US Army and served with the 11th Airborne Division, 188th Parachute Infantry Regiment in Japan. Following his service he attended Bismarck Junior College, graduating in 1949. Lloyd married Janice Marquis on July 2, 1950. Lloyd and Jan moved to Denver where they lived while Lloyd attended Denver University and worked for Swift & Co. for 2 years. They returned to Bismarck in 1952 where Lloyd began his banking career as an Examiner with the ND Dept of Banking and went on to serve as President of Grant County State Bank in Carson, ND and then the Goose River Bank in Mayville, ND until his retirement in 1982. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Oakley National Bank, Buffalo, MN. Lloyd is survived by Jan, his wife of 62 years, two sons Greg, Jamie (LeAnn), two daughters Lori (Tom) Konradi and Lesa Kempf; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A private family service will be held in the memorial garden at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chandler, AZ. Letter: Is Fargodome adequate for future?
I asked recently whether Fargo needs a new stadium for North Dakota State University Bison football. Or, in the alternative, whether a new multipurpose events center to replace the Fargodome needs to be built. Either would potentially give NDSU the flexibility to perhaps one day pursue a move to the premiere NCAA Division I football level of competition.
