Alida M. Dallmann
Alida M. Dallmann, age 95, of Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
Alida Mabel Anderson was born on January 20, 1918, to Oscar and Borghild (Nelson) Anderson in rural Hawley, MN. She grew up and attended school in rural Hawley and attended Lysne Lutheran Church. Alida worked for many farm families in the Hawley area. On February 6, 1941, she married Eddie Dallmann in Clay County. Together they farmed in the Barnesville area until the late 1940’s when they sold the farm and moved to Moorhead. Upon Eddie’s retirement, they made their home on Lake Franklin near Pelican Rapids. Eddie tragically died in a car accident in 1981 at which time Alida moved back to Moorhead. She was a long-time member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Alida enjoyed baking cookies and bread which she served to those who visited her. If something went wrong while baking, it was never her fault. It was something wrong with the flour, the milk or the eggs. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing bingo, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her sisters, family and friends over a cup of coffee.
