David Green
David Green, 69, rural Fairmount, ND passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. The funeral service will be on Thursday, June 13, at 10:30 AM at First English Lutheran Church, Fairmount with Rev. Anthony Ahrendt officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

David was born on August 11, 1943 in Breckenridge, MN to Doyle and Elsie (Buck) Green. He spent his early years with his family on a farm near Colfax, ND, and then they moved closer to Elsie's parents near Fairmount, ND when Doyle passed away in 1952. David was a confirmed member of First English Lutheran Church and graduated from Fairmount High School in 1961. In 1962, the family moved to a different farm and David and his brother, Robert started Green Brothers partnership. They started from "square one" and built it into a successful operation that he worked at until the present day.
