Robert William Otto
Robert William Otto of the Osnabrock-Langdon area passed away peacefully under Hospice care on April 7, 2014 with family at his side at the home of his daughter in Fargo, ND after valiantly battling a rare Sarcoma cancer diagnosis given to him on February 21, 2014.

Robert was born on October 31, 1931 to William and Kathleen (Wild) Otto. Robert attended his first 8 years of school at the Osnabrock Township School and then graduated from Milton Public School. He then attended State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He entered the Army in 1955 and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, KY. He served as a track mechanic working on tanks. He was discharged in 1957. Robert was a member of St. Clotilde's Church, Milton, ND and St. Alphonsus Church, Langdon, ND.

Gordon Langerud, 98, Hawley, MN, died on Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Gordon was born on December 16, 1915, in Keene Township, near Hitterdal, MN, to Harold and Selma (Renslow) Langerud. He attended rural school in Keene Township and then attended school in Hitterdal for a short time. He was a dairy farmer in Keene Township all of his life.

Bruce Richard Johnson "Bird"
Bruce Richard Johnson "Bird," 63, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born October 24, 1950 in Fargo, North Dakota to Earl and Lillian Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at Hickson Lutheran Church in Hickson, North Dakota. He graduated from Kindred High School in 1969. In the early 70's, Bird moved to Arizona where he worked construction. During this time, he invented and patented a diesel fuel heater and a parts cleaning flow brush. In the 90s, Bird co-owned the Kitty-Bird Ranch in Star Valley, Arizona where he raised horses and cows. Bird had a love for camping and the Arizona mountains. All who knew Bird would especially miss his gentle nature, quick smile, and his amazing ability to get along with everyone.

Bird was preceded in death by his father Earl Johnson and brother Charles "Chuck" Johnson. He is survived by his mother Lillian Johnson of Hickson, North Dakota, sister Deborah "Debbie" (Rick) Fowler of Walcott, North Dakota, brother Kevin (Cyndi) Johnson of Chandler, Arizona, and his beloved dog Sammy. Bird has eleven nieces and nephews, fifteen great-nieces and nephews.
