Robert A. Gigler, 96, Ada, MN, died at Grand Forks, ND, on Sunday, May 19, 2013.

Robert was born April 13, 1917, at home on the farm near Ada, the son of Frank and Martha (Duenow) Gigler. He grew up and attended country school near Ada. From 1940 to 1955, he farmed in Green Meadow Township rural Ada. Robert was united in marriage to Lorraine Larson on March 1, 1940, in Ada. He moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1955 and worked as a finish carpenter for many years as they also lived in Washington and California, before settling in Coon Rapids, MN. Lorraine died in 2000 and Robert continued to live at home until recently moving to Bridges Care Community in Ada.

Vivian was born on February 26, 1920, to Ole E. and Olga (Tronnes) Halverson in Hagen Township. She attended country school in rural Clay County and was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church.

James "Jim" L. Aadland
James “Jim” Leonard Aadland, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Mon. May 20, 2013 at his home, Fargo.

Jim was born March 10, 1961 in Moorhead, to Leonard and Elaine (Erickson) Aadland. He attended Moorhead Public Schools graduating in 1979. He went on to graduate from MSU. Jim participated in many sports; golf, bowling and softball were his favorites. He especially loved golfing in the Crow Bar League weekly until some physical problems made it impossible to participate. On March 17, 2001 Jim married Amy (Deere) Crist. He was blessed with his two kids, Nick (12) and Allie (10) who were his world. Jim worked in the FM area, most recently at SEI. Jim loved his family, friends and getting to know people. He had a gift for getting conversations started and kept in contact with many friends through Facebook.

Darlene Anderson-Koplin
Darlene Anderson-Koplin, age 76 of Larimore, ND, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND.

Darlene was born February 5, 1937 to Chester and Florence (Chapman) Bakke on her family farm near Emerado, ND. Darlene attended grade school at a country school near her home and high school in Larimore, graduating in 1955. On November 23, 1957, she married Gerald Anderson at the Washington Lutheran Church at Northwood, ND. The couple lived and farmed near Larimore. Gerald passed away on February 19, 1983. She married James Koplin on June 19, 1998. They made their home near Larimore. Jim passed away December 9, 2012.

Io A. Severson, age 93, formerly of Fargo and Fessenden, died May 20, 2013, in Fairfax, VA.

Io, the daughter of Carl and Tilda (Johnson) Wignes, was born November 29, 1919 in Hamberg, ND. Io was a farm girl who enjoyed being outdoors around the farm. She attended rural country school, graduated from Fessenden High School in 1938, then attended Minot State Teachers College (now University). She was united in marriage to Harold Severson, also from Fessenden, on February 6, 1942.
