Leone Redmann, 98, West Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND.
Leone Bernice Welke was born Jan. 20, 1915 at Enderlin, ND to Emil and Gertrude Welke. She grew up at Enderlin and attended school there. Leone married Otto Redmann on Feb. 14, 1936 in Valley City, ND. They farmed near Nome, ND until 1956 when they moved to Tower City, ND where they also farmed and raised turkeys. In 1979, they moved to West Fargo. Otto died in 1998. She moved to Sheyenne Crossings in Oct. 2010 and later to Elim Care Center in Sept. 2012.

Although snowfall and snow depth records were not kept that year locally, based on the melted precipitation and the temperatures, it is likely the winter snow cover persisted into April that year.
