Harvey Johnson
Harvey Johnson was born March 21, 1928, in Hibbing, MN, the youngest child of Carl and Evelyn Karlstrom Johnson. His Depression-era youth was spent exploring the ore mounds and balsam and tamarack forests of the Iron Range. To his widowed mother's credit, Harv never knew his family was poor.

After graduating Hibbing High School in 1946, Harvey spent two years serving "Uncle Sam" in the U. S. Navy, specializing in electronics. Following military discharge, he attended Hibbing Junior College and Purdue University, where he completed a degree in physics in 1952.

Bette Daggett 82, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, January 3rd, after a short stay in the Frazee Care Center.

Bette Mae (Elizabeth) Athmann was born on April 17, 1931 to Edward and Reina (Hopfner) Athmann. She grew up in Beaulieu, Minnesota with her brother Delore and her sister Florine. They lived in the village, where her family owned and operated the general store. Her love of music began at an early age, dancing to the tunes of the Athmann Boys. Later, the Athmann family moved into Mahnomen where she graduated from High School in 1948.

A life filled with love, hard work, devotion to family, farm and faith ended on December 20, 2013 when Charles D. (Bud) Kalil of Williston ND and Sun Lakes AZ died in Chandler AZ.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Russell Kovash at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston. Interment in Riverview Cemetery will follow the funeral mass. An Evening Vigil with a Rosary will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at Everson Memorial Chapel.
