Regina Ann Larson
Regina Ann Larson, 58, of Fertile, MN, died on Friday, February 8, 2013, near her home. She was born on May 18, 1954, to Harold and Ruth (Ofstedal) Larson in Crookston, MN. Regina was baptized and confirmed at Little Norway Lutheran Church, rural Fertile. She graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School in 1972, and studied Criminal Justice at Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN, graduating in 1976.
Regina worked as a Probation Officer in Norman County until 1980, when she began studying at Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, MN. She graduated in 1983, and practiced law in St. Paul, MN. Regina returned to Ada, MN in 1985, practicing law at Hellerud and Larson Law Office. On February 25, 1986, Regina was united in marriage to Mark Hellerud at Perley, MN. She continued to practice law until the present. Regina was active in the Norman County D.F.L. Party, where she contributed her time, effort and expertise to their work. Regina also worked with the Economic Development Authority in Ada, served as a director of the Day Activity Center in Ada in the 1980's and was a panel attorney for Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota.

Leon Thorsell
Leon Peter Thorsell was born in Northwood, ND on August 29th, 1942. He attended school in Larimore, ND and graduated in 1960. At age 23, Leon enlisted in the Army Reserve. In 1977, Leon moved to Christine, ND with his then wife, Dorothy Klodt Thorsell,and eldest son, Jason Luther Thorsell. A second son, Eric Warren Thorsell was born in 1978. At age 62, Leon retired from the Steiger Tractor / Case IH tractor plant after 32 years. Leon Peter Thorsell passed away peacefully and he got to enjoy everything on his “things I want to do when I retire list”.
A memorial service will be held at the Fargo Holiday Inn in the Prairie room on Monday, February 11th between 4pm and 9pm. We will enjoy some of Leon’s favorite songs, swap stories and look at a few old photos. Please dress casually in whatever makes you feel comfortable,as that is exactly the way Leon would want it.
