Ron Blixt, 65, Amenia, ND died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Downers Grove, IL.

Ronald Eugene Blixt was born May 13, 1947 in Fargo, ND to Leonard and Margaret (Muhs) Blixt. He grew up in Amenia, ND and graduated from high school in 1965. Ron received his teaching degree from Valley City State in 1969 and then taught for 5 years in Towner, ND. He married Sandra Roden on June 5, 1971 in Mayville, ND. They moved to Chicago, IL in 1974 where he started a long career with Amtrak. He was transferred to Duluth/Superior for a number of years and then to Fargo in 1986. They made their home in Amenia. Ron retired from Amtrak in 2007.
