Richard M. Sisler
Richard Mills Sisler, age 88 of Edina Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 25, 2013. Funeral service on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Interment at Itasca Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.

Richard was born and raised in Grand Rapids MN and upon completion of high school enlisted in the Navy and became a pilot. With the end of WWII, Richard enrolled at St. Olaf College where he met who he called "The Diamond of his Heart," his wife Carol. After graduation he studied at George Williams YMCA College in Chicago, IL. Richard worked with the YMCA for 40+ years promoting a healthy mind, body and spirit. He was instrumental in building the West Central YMCA in Minneapolis before the family moved to Fargo, ND where he served as Executive Director of the Fargo YMCA for 18 years. Completing his career back in Minneapolis he worked for the national office of the YMCA. He was very civically minded and during his life many pancakes were flipped to raise money, buildings revived and spirits restored through his dedication to voluntarism and service work.

Kirk E. Dean
Kirk E. Dean, 65, Fargo, ND, and formerly of Rapid City and Sioux Falls, SD, passed away peacefully at his home on May 4, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kirk Edgar Dean was born in Canton, SD, on August 4, 1947, to E. Merle and Mae (Sorenson) Dean and was the youngest of their three children. He grew up in Canton, was baptized and confirmed at Canton Lutheran Church, and attended Canton High School, graduating in 1965. Kirk graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in 1969. His educational path continued to graduations from the National Trust School at Northwestern University, Chicago and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Gordon Joseph Brant
Gordon Joseph Brant passed away peacefully in his sleep at Twin Valley Living Center, Twin Valley, MN, on May 12, 2013. Gordon was 94.

Gordon was born in Fargo, ND, October 25, 1918, to Emil and Alma Brant. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1936. While in high school, he played on the varsity hockey team for three years; the team lost just once during that span and won the ND State Hockey Championship. Gordon also played American Legion baseball competing in the National Legion baseball tournament. After high school Gordon attended NDSU.
