Arlene Joyce Gnoinsky passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 surrounded by her family after suffering a stroke. Arlene was born March 15, 1934 to Albert and Olga Regstad in Hendrum, MN. She went to school in Hendrum, lived in Georgetown, MN and later graduated from Moorhead High School.

Arlene married James J. Gnoinsky on November 30, 1957. They made their home in Fargo. Arlene worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone (CenturyLink), retired after 30 years and then worked in the family business, Gnoinsky Brothers Construction until she retired again in 1999.

Harold L. Newman
Harold L. Newman, 80, Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home in Jamestown.

Harold was born August 28, 1933 in Mayville, ND, the son of Albert and Bertha (Gidskemo) Newman. He grew up, attended elementary school and graduated from high school in Mayville. He went to Mayville State College for two years and continued his last two years at Moorhead State University, graduating in 1956. On May 31, 1953 Harold married Mary Harwood in Moorhead.

Alida L. Hilde, 86, of Eveleth, formerly of Cherry, died, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Chestnut Grove in Virginia. Alida Lenore Thorson was born on March 25, 1927 to Christ and Berentine (Marken) Thorson in Fergus Falls, MN. Alida lived in rural Fergus Falls until moving to Pelican Rapids, MN. In 1940, they moved to Ulen, MN. Alida graduated from the Ulen High School in 1945. She attended two years of business school in Moorhead, MN. She then worked at the Hanford Nuclear Plant near Richland, Washington. During this time Alida and her friends enjoyed traveling.
