Dale L. Olson, 60, of Moorhead, MN died Friday, March 1, 2013, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Dale Lee Olson was born on July 29, 1952 in Moorhead, MN to Edward and Edna (Rundgren) Olson. He graduated from Moorhead High School and Minnesota Community and Technical College before enlisting in the United States Navy. He served in the Navy from 1972-74 and later the USNR. Dale worked for American Crystal Sugar for 34 years until retiring in May 2012. He enjoyed bowling with several different teams over the years. Dale was a lifetime member of the Moorhead VFW.

Gary L. Siverson
Gary L. Siverson, 70, Casselton, ND, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. He fought cancer for twelve years, with a positive “never give up” attitude and never a complaint.

Gary Lee Siverson was born January 24, 1943 in Fargo, the son of Lester and Vera (Young) Siverson. He was raised in Casselton and graduated from Lincoln High School. He attended Valley City State University for one year. He worked for the railroad for one year, before going to work for Otter Tail Power Company in Cooperstown, Kindred and Casselton, ND for 43 years, retiring in 2009. In retirement, he enjoyed driving truck for Farstad Oil and helping local farmers. Gary served in the Army National Guard for a short time and then the Air National Guard for 32 years. He married Donna Hocking in 1979. Gary was an avid bowler, hunter and trap shooter, winning the ND Doubles Championship in 1999.

Dolores J. Johnson
Dolores J. Johnson, 87, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in Sanford Health’s Palliative Care Center. Dolores Lundberg was born January 2, 1926 in Ulen, MN, to Oliver and Arnolda (Holte) Lundberg. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Dolores attended grade school in Page, ND, and graduated from Ulen High School in 1943. On May 31, 1946, she married John L. Johnson. Together they had three sons. Over the years, Dolores worked several jobs including waitress, linotype operator, mail clerk and carrier, and retired as deputy county auditor for Norman County in 1988. John and Dolores also owned the Quickie Lunch in Ada, MN for 7 years, and they enjoyed many summers at McCraney Lake near Waubun. John passed away on Oct 30, 1999. Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Sons of Norway, and Ada VFW Auxilliary. Dolores was honored to volunteer at the V.A. Hospital in Fargo and received a 20 year service award.

Dolores is survived by three sons, James of Miles City, MT, Mark (Elizabeth) of St. Cloud, MN, and Ronald of Red Wing, MN; ten grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Paul Ruliffson, 80, Fargo, ND died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Paul Harmon Ruliffson was born to Ralph and Margaret (Ranes) Ruliffson on March 6, 1932 in Fargo. He was raised on a farm near Mapleton, ND where he attended elementary and high school, graduating in 1950. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1954; after graduation, he served as a 1st Lt. in the US Army from 1954 to 1957, stationed mainly in Germany.

Donald Spiekermeier, 86, Sheldon, passed away February 28, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo ND. Donald Lawrence Spiekermeier was born February 15, 1927 to John and Bessie Spiekermeier at Sheldon, North Dakota. He grew up in Sheldon and graduated there. He farmed for many years and also worked various other jobs throughout his life. Donnie had been at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur since 2006, where he enjoyed his time with fellow residents and the staff. Donald is survived by his three children, Lynn (Jan) Spiekermeier, Colorado, Paula (Dan) Aspelund, Minnesota, and David (Pauline) Spiekermeier, Iowa, along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He also leaves brothers Jack (Marlyss), Roy, (Anna Mae), and sister Mary (Pat) Boyle. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, March 4 at St. Mary’s, Sheldon, ND. Forman, ND: Cecelia “Toots” Marion (Harles) Sundquist was born October 15, 1923, to Michael and Anna Harles in Rutland Township, Sargent County. Toots grew up in the Rutland Township and attended Rutland Consolidated School. During WWII Toots worked at the Waldorf Paper Factory in St. Paul. She returned to the Rutland area and was a waitress for several years in the Rutland and Forman areas.

On December 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to Morris Sundquist in Cogswell, ND. They moved to Bowmen Township where they lived for a short time before moving to a farmstead in Dunbar Township. There they farmed, raised cattle, chickens and pigs. Toots was a stay at home mom to their three boys. She was a hard worker and anyone who knew her saw this in her hands.
