Dorothy M. Conger, 91, resident of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Emmanuel Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 28 at 11AM in First Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27 at David Donehower Funeral Home from 5PM-7PM with a Prayer Service at 7PM. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes.

Larry P. Noriega
Larry P. Noriega, 84, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his home in West Fargo.

Larry Paul (Hilario Arenas) Noriega was born March 31, 1929 near Sutherland, Nebraska, to Patricio Arenas Noriega and Anita Venegas Noriega. He attended school in Grand Island and in O’Fallons, and graduated from Cozad High School in 1948. He was drafted into the United States Army in March of 1951, and served in Korea from August 1951 to May of 1952. He was a staff sergeant with the 2nd Division 82nd Anti-Aircraft Battalion and was honorably discharged December 1, 1952 at Fort Cronkite, San Francisco. Following his return to Nebraska, he worked in Cozad at a hay mill and gas station before moving to Grand Island, where he worked as a mechanic and cab driver before beginning his career as a lather.
