Loss at heavyweight dooms NDSU in dual against Northern Iowa
FARGO – Northern Iowa enjoys seeing North Dakota State on its schedule. The No. 20-ranked Panthers won six of 10 matches to top No. 25 North Dakota State 21-15 in college wrestling Sunday at the Bison Sports Arena and in the process extended their winning streak against the Bison to 13 duals. Trailing by three points heading into the heavyweight match, Bison sophomore Evan Knutson went up against UNI senior Blayne Beale with the match on the line.

James E. Walline, Sr.
James E. Walline, Sr., a dedicated and enthusiastic educator, father and husband, died January 30, 2013, in Buffalo, New York. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his wife Marjorie and their six children, in the days before he died. He had Parkinson's Disease.
A Minnesota native, Mr. Walline influenced thousands of students in the Western New York area during an New York education career that spanned more than three decades, primarily at Grand Island Senior High School, where he was Principal for 17 years (1976-1993). He was also Principal of Pembroke High School (1972-1976), and his last post was as Principal of Cardinal O'Hara High School in Tonawanda (1993-1996). A biologist by training, he began his career as a biology teacher at Warren Junior High School in Massachusetts.

Wallace "Wally" Utke
Wallace “Wally” G. Utke, 80, Fargo passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo.
Wally was born May 20, 1932 in Enderlin, North Dakota to Walter and Laura (Krueger) Utke. He attended country school near Enderlin before graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1951. He attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952-1956. He attended Hanson Auto School where he served as an instructor and also worked at B.S. Chesley as a heavy duty mechanic. In 1964, Wally began working for the City of Fargo. He worked as a heavy duty mechanic on city equipment before retiring after 28 years in 1992.
