Ronald A. Guttormson, 74, of Borup, MN, passed away at home on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Ronnie was born March 25, 1939 in Fargo, ND, to Elmer and Mabel (Ringstad) Guttormson. He grew up on the family farm near Georgetown, MN, and attended school at Middleton Country School and Hendrum Public School before graduating from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN. Ronnie then continued his education at Moorhead State University while farming with his father and brother, Roger prior to farming on his own. He served in the Air National Guard. On August 15, 1959, Ronnie married LeeAnn Sivertson at Kirkebo Lutheran Church in Perley, MN. Together they lived and farmed in the Perley, Georgetown, Felton and Borup communities. He retired from farming in 2001. LeeAnn and Ronnie spent ten winters traveling and trap shooting in Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix and Tucson AZ, where they met many new friends.
