Lloyd Staska
Lloyd Staska, 79, longtime resident of West Fargo, ND, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Lloyd was born November 25, 1933 at Hillsboro, ND, son of Max and Ann (Lemm) Staska. He grew up on a farm, attended rural schools and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1951. He was united in marriage to Elaine Sauvageau October 16, 1956 in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fargo, ND. He attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND and Interstate Business College in Fargo, graduating with a degree in accounting. He worked for Newday Seeds and Sexauer Co. in West Fargo, also NDSU in sugar beet research and extension work, finishing his career in 1996, after 23 years as an agriculturist with American Crystal Sugar Co. For the past ten years, Lloyd offered part time assistance to the staff at West Funeral Homes in West Fargo and Casselton.

Donna Eileen Erickson, age 84 of Deer River, MN, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home.

Donna was an active member in the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She spent her later years traveling to see and enjoy her children, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Outdoor activities like gardening, walking and spending summers at Lake of the Woods fishing were her pleasures.

Andre C. Thomaier was called home on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the age of eighty six. Andre, called Andy by family and friends, was born in Fargo, ND on October 11, 1926, to Frederick and Gertrude (Larsen) Thomaier. Andy was of a third generation Fargo pioneer family.

Marcus was born on November 25, 1955, in Breckenridge, MN, to Merlin and Dorothy (Strom) Friskop. Baptized and confirmed in Wyndmere Lutheran Church, he graduated from Wyndmere High School in 1974. He attended Valley City State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in 1978. His first teaching job was in Adams, ND. Marcus then moved to Maddock, ND, where he met his wife, Wendy Schulkoski. They were married on June 10, 1985, in North Viking Lutheran Church, Maddock. The couple made their home in Maddock, before moving to Hankinson in 1990.
