Terry Lee Klug, 67, died Thursday December 5, 2013 in his home.

Terry was born November 24, 1946 to Gloria and Francis Klug, in Fargo, ND. He served in the Unitied States Army during Viet Nam. After returning home to Cody Wyoming he worked for K&K Treater Service. He met and married Jeanne Cook and move back to Moorhead, MN. and earned a degree in auto mechanic from Moorhead Technical College. He later worked for Anderson Pontiac, NDSU, and Goldmark Properties.

Douglas Arnold Prochnow
Douglas Arnold Prochnow, 51, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in Moorhead, MN and grew up in Minnesota, North and South Dakota Doug was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church where he served on several committees and was a member and past master of Botetourt Masonic Lodge # 7 in Gloucester. Doug served his country in the U.S. Army and then retired from the National Guard with a total of 20 years service. He was currently employed at Jacob Sverdrup Co. in Hampton as Engineering Technician IV Instrumentation Technician. Since 2007, Doug has provided data acquisition and instrumentation expertise support for the Landing and Impact Research Facility of the Structures Testing Branch at NASA Langley Research Center. Doug was the Data Acquisition Lead on over 80 tests for the ORION Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV). The MPCV is NASA's space vehicle being developed for transport of cargo and/or crew to Space Station,, the moon, and potentially to Mars. Data from these tests have been used for making ORION landing system decisions. The success of these tests was made possible due to Doug's expertise, work ethics and professionalism.

Doug was preceded in death by his father Arnold R. Prochnow. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marie B. Prochnow, daughters Kathryn and Amanda Prochnow, his mother Frieda Reister Prochnow of Jamestown, ND, his siblings Lorie (Ed) Farnsworth of McHenry ND, Lee Prochnow of Williston, ND, Darcie (Steve) Rolla of Watford, ND, nephew Evan, nieces Ashley, Shania, and Shayla, Godfather Herb Prochnow, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brig. Gen. (ret.) John R. Harty
Brig. Gen. (ret.) John R. Harty completed his journey on earth on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2013 and has been promoted to the promise of life everlasting. His life was one of integrity, love of God, of country, and of family. A born leader, he combined his fine abilities with a personal touch and a keen sense of humor.

Gen. Harty was born in Grand Forks, N.D. on June 25, 1938 and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1956. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of North Dakota, was commissioned as a distinguished military graduate from ROTC to 2 nd Lt in the USAF, and was married all on the same day, August 6, 1960. He never forgot an anniversary.

James Richard Charon
James Richard Charon passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in the Sanford Palliative Care Center in Fargo, ND. He was 69 years of age.

He was born March 10, 1944 at Grafton, ND. He was the son of James Oliver Charon and Myrtle Alvina (Hanson) Charon. Jimmy grew up in the Midwestern states and enjoyed hiking in the mountains with his brother Joe. He had worked with a boiler repair service, health care provider, and had also worked in mining, trucking, and rodeo work. His hobbies included collecting and repairing clocks, working on old cars, and listening to country music.

Kirk Skaurud, age 23 of Gary, MN, died Saturday November 30, 2013 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Kirk Francis Skaurud, son of Kelly & Vicki (Opsahl) Skaurud was born on October 3, 1990 in Fargo, ND. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley, MN. Even before he went to school, he loved being on the farm. Kirk attended school at Norman County East Schools and graduated with the Class of 2009. As a student, he participated in athletics, lettering in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He enjoyed being a percussionist in the band and singing in the choir. Kirk chose to study Farm Operation & Management at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN, and received an AAS degree in May 2013.

James Linnerooth
James Linnerooth, 85, died Friday, November 22, 2013, at the Veteran's Hospital in Fargo. He was born on September 7, 1928, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the youngest of George and Esther Linnerooth's nine children. After graduating from John A. Johnson High School, he joined the Marine Corps, serving from '46 to '48. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College for one year, then completed his degree at Hamline University in St. Paul. While still at Hamline, Jim met and married Beryl Bennett. They recently passed their 62nd anniversary, still madly in love.

After college, Jim went to work as an adjuster for General Motors and Motors Insurance Company, which transferred him to Fargo. There, he opened his own business before working for GAB.

Kathy Hertz, 59, of Bismarck, ND and recently of Fargo, died on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo, North Dakota after a 3 ½ year battle with ovarian cancer.

Kathleen Lee Shephard was born in Fargo on July 31, 1954, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Brunelle) Shephard. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1972 and Bismarck Junior College in 1974. In 2002, she was fortunate enough to marry her true love and soul mate, Don Hertz.
