Mary Kathryn Sullivan was born on March 10, 1926 in Drayton, ND to Francis B. and Sarah (Burke) Sullivan. She attended grade school and graduated from High School in Berlin, ND in 1944. She graduated from the St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Aberdeen, SD as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps in 1947. She later worked at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo.

Pearl Loftsgard, 91 of Fargo and formerly of Park River, ND passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her home in Fargo.

Pearl Larson was born March 25, 1921 in rural Walsh County, the daughter of the late Olaf and Lena (Lien) Larson. She graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. Pearl was united in marriage to Eugene Loftsgard on October 18, 1946 in Park River where they made their home. They recently moved to Touchmark Assisted Living in Fargo, ND.

Barbara M. Jameson, 72, of Moorhead, MN, passed away at home on Thursday, February 7, 2013. Barb was born August 4, 1940, in Breckenridge, MN, to Donald and Alice (West) VanTassel. She grew up and attended school in Breckenridge before moving to Hawley. On August 31, 1963, she married Jim Jameson in Hawley. Together they made their home and raised four children. For nearly 40 years, they served churches in Hawley, MN, Argyle, WI, Sauk Centre, MN, Perham, MN, Glyndon, MN, Chisolm, MN, and Pine City, MN, before retiring to Felton, MN. She enjoyed being outdoors and took pride in her quilting, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Leo Thomson, age 88, of Barnesville, MN, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo surrounded by his family.

Leo M. Thomson was born on August 29, 1924, the son of Theodore and Mary (Pesheck) Thomson, in Roberts Township, Wilkin County, MN. He grew up in this area and received his education in Wilkin County Schools. At an early age he began farming with his father until entering the service. Leo proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII where he qualified at a Sharp Shooter with the M I rifle. He served on the Cruiser USS Mobile CL 63 in the occupation of Japan - one of the first ships to enter the Japanese Harbor in Southern Kyushu.

Lillian (Lil) Hart
Lillian (Lil) Hart, age 98, passed away peacefully on January 30 in her home at Riverfront Manor in Pelican Rapids, MN.

Lil was born to Albert and Gertrude (Rierson) Johnson in the Hawley area. Lil was raised in Harwood and Fargo and graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1931. She worked at Armour's Creamery (Fairmont) until her marriage to Cyril Robert Hart on July 2, 1938. She and Cy made their home in Fargo, and later moved to Moorhead, MN. Lil remained in Moorhead until moving to Pelican Rapids in 2009. Lil was a homemaker and loved to entertain family and friends. She was well known for creating and serving delicious hors d/ oeuvres. She will be remembered as a beautiful lady who always made a fashion statement. Lil had been a member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church since 1931 and was active in Circle for many years.
