Gladys was the 6th of 8 children born to Theodore and Clara (Bothun) Strand. She was born in Viking Township, rural Portland, on September 18, 1924. Gladys attended Viking School for her grade school years and then attended Portland High School graduating in 1942.

Stephen Paul Munn
Stephen Paul Munn was born on March 3, 1951 in Fargo, ND, the son of Gerald and Mary (Winchell) Munn. He graduated from Fargo South High school in 1969 and continued his education at Detroit Lakes Area Vocational School graduating from the Sales and Marketing program. Steve married Elaine Soltess on September 22, 1973 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together they had three sons Jason, Shon, and Michael.

Steve had worked in the HVAC industry since he was 18 years old. He started by helping his father and then worked throughout Minnesota. He also worked in Fargo and then moved to Bismarck, ND where he lived for 18 years before moving to Alexandria, MN in 1999. Steve was very proud of his work in the industry and he was especially grateful for his employment with Ellingson Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical for the last 14 years. He enjoyed his time with Pat Ellingson and his co-workers. Steve was a loyal Viking and Twins fan. He and his wife loved Minnesota's outdoor lifestyle and enjoyed everything it had to offer to the fullest. He liked to ride his Harley, go fishing and boating with his wife and golfing with his buddies, sons and grandson. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and larger than life smile. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dan Bayliss died of a heart attack at his home in Elk River on December 12, 2013 at the age of 60.

He was born in Fargo, North Dakota on April 20, 1953, the youngest child of Sidney and Ruby Bayliss. He spent his childhood in Fargo and as an adult he decided to follow his family’s heritage in steel and mechanical devices, earning a degree in machine tool technology from North Dakota College of Science in Wahpeton. After graduation he worked as a teacher in the mechanical engineering department at North Dakota State University.

Tara Jane Daniel – Beall, 44, lost her four year battle against cancer on Friday, December 13, 2013 with her mother holding her hand. She was born December 2, 1969 at Williston, ND to parents Helen (Black) and Andrew Daniel; and was their only child.
