Lorraine Slininger
Lorraine Slininger, 89, Ada, MN, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Benedictine Care Community, Ada, MN. Lorraine was born on July 18, 1924, at the farm, the daughter of John and Clara (Durling) of Ada. Lorraine was baptized and confirmed at Grace (First) Lutheran Church in Ada. On April 2, 1944, Lorraine was united in marriage to Russell Ernest Slininger of rural Twin Valley, MN. To this marriage 5 children were born: Carol, Dean, Bev, Ardell, and Eunice. Lorraine was a very warm and loving mother and wife, she loved to bowl, and she was very active in church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lorraine is survived by one son, Dean, (Antoneta) Slininger, Fargo, ND, 3 daughters, Carol (Loren) Sturdevant, Glenrock, WY, Ardell (Larry) Wold, Felton, MN, and Eunice Slininger, Ada, and a special son Robert Miller Sr., Twin Valley, MN, one son-in-law, Leo Jacobson; she was blessed with twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, due in February 2014, 2 brothers, Marvin Benesh and Clifford Benesh, both of Ada, one sister, Janice (Bob) Miller, Casselton, ND, two sisters-in-law, Irene Benesh and Pat Benesh, both of Ada, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell (2006), daughter Beverly Jacobson, daughter-in-law Lorraine (Granny) Slininger, 3 brothers Kenny, Arnold, and Glen, 2 sisters, Eleanor Devries and Doris Melby, and a very special sister-in-law, Betty Benesh. God Bless the memory of Lorraine.

Don was born in Oklahoma on October 27, 1944 to Donald and Irene McCracken. He attended school in Fargo. During school he worked at EPKO Film, then moved to St. Paul, MN and worked at Brown Photo.

Jeff Michael Vasichek
Jeff Michael Vasichek, 50, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away from cancer on November 17, 2013. Funeral services will be November 23 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Michigan, North Dakota, with the Rev. Steven J. Meyer officiating. Interment will be at the Michigan Cemetery following the funeral services. A prayer service will be held the evening before, on November 22nd, starting at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Services will be handled by Aaker Funeral Home in Lakota, North Dakota. www.iversonkassianfuneralservices.com.

Jeff was born July 2, 1963, in McVille, ND to James and Norma (Kroke) Vasichek. He grew up in Michigan, ND. He graduated from Michigan Public High School and North Dakota State University. Jeff was united in marriage to Brenda Glovich on November 3, 1990, in Braddock, ND. The couple lived in many locations where Jeff was employed by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and Titan Tire. He ultimately joined Baldwin Filters in Kearney, Nebraska, as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jeff was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

A. Jeanette Enger, 81, Halstad, MN, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Halstad Living Center. Jeanette was born on August 25, 1932, at Halstad, the daughter of Albert and Jetta (Foss) Enger. She graduated from Halstad High School in 1950 and later graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She cared for her parents while they were living and also was a caregiver for her uncle. She enjoyed traveling to various countries in Europe, South America, and to Mexico. Jeanette was especially fond of Dorr County, WI. She was a generous person who enjoyed being together with people and socializing. She had lived in the Halstad area most of her life, in addition to living in Moorhead for a few years. As her health failed she became a resident of the Halstad Living Center in 2005. Jeanette is survived by several cousins and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and other extended family.

Breanna Elizabeth Kittelson 21, 0f Moorhead died November 14, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

She was born November 22, 1991 in Fargo to Morrie and Leanne (Nygard) Kittelson. She attended and graduated from Moorhead High School in 2010. After school, Breanna started working at Heartland Industries in Moorhead. She also worked for Second Time Around Thrift Store in Moorhead. Breanna was also a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and was very popular with many people; she earned the highest amount of donations in one day. Breanna loved spending time with her family, especially her cousins. She was very close to her “Special brothers,” Bryan and Dylan. Breanna loved music and loved DVDs. She had a large pen collection and loved finding new pens to add to her collection. She also loved her cat, Paul Simon. Breanna was also involved in the Special Olympics.

Donald W. Wadeson, 84, Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Don was born Sept. 16, 1929 at Alice, ND to William “Booster” and Mary (Grommesh) Wadeson. He grew up at Alice and attended school in Alice and Enderlin, ND. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Charles P. Cecil from 1951 to 1954. Don married Bernice Schur on Nov. 11, 1955. They made their home in Fargo. Don worked as a salesman with Bridgeman Creamery/Land O’Lakes from 1955 to 1970. In 1970, he started with Northwest Beverage where he worked for 35 years.

Lawrence "Larry" James Lemke
Larry was born on May 18, 1948 to Dorothy P. Lemke (McGough) and Loren Lemke at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN.

He attended school at St. Francis Catholic School and went on to graduate from Moorhead High School in 1966. Right after high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy as a Marine Mechanic. Larry was proud to serve his country in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in 1971. He received several medals during his service.

Memorial Services will be held at Lakes Area Vineyard Church on Friday, November 15 at 2PM. Visitation will be held at David Donehower Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14 from 5PM-7PM. Luella Matzke
Luella Matzke, 92, of Marion, ND, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Luella was born on October 14, 1921, on a farm near Milbank, SD, the middle of three children to William and Elizabeth (Moser) Robel. She grew up on the family farm and, at the age of 16, moved to live with the John Trapp family near Marion, ND to care for a disabled cousin. Luella graduated from Marion High School and then worked for the Marion Hospital. On June 16, 1942, she married LeRoy Matzke in Marion and they settled on a farm near Marion and raised six children. In 1962, the family moved to Marion where Luella and LeRoy were the custodians of the Marion Public School for the next 19 years. LeRoy died in July 2003 and Luella continued to live in Marion, walking everyday with her friends. She moved to St. Rose Care Center in May 2013

George Trupka
George Trupka, 83, Wahpeton, ND passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley through Friday, November 8, 2013. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 12 at 1:30 PM in the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton with Rev. Morris Stephens, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to Tuesday's service. A military Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton followed with a light lunch.

George was born on April 27, 1930 to Edward and Pauline (Pecka) Trupka in their home behind Central Elementary School. This was his home until he graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1948. He continued his education at North Dakota State College of Science and many locations throughout the United States. In 1951, he enlisted in the US Air Force, during the Korean Conflict, where he received his education in Instrumentation; he served in the Strategic Air Command on the B-47. George was then stationed in England where he met the love of his life Marie Perez, they were married on August 24, 1954 in London, he never left her side. They moved to Riverside CA where he was honorably discharged in February of 1955.

Lance Knaup, 36, died Thursday, November 7, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Lance was born on November, 6, 1977, in Dickinson, ND, a son of Ronald and Diane (Schmaltz) Knaup. He attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School until 1988, when the family moved to Minot. He attended Little Flower Grade School and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1996. He graduated from Minot State University in 2002 with a degree in Elementary Education. While attending Minot State University, he was employed at Budget Music and Video. After graduating, he taught and coached football at the New Town Public School. He was currently employed as the Sales Manager for Ryan Chevrolet.

Ryan Scott Seamands, 21 of West Fargo, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 surrounded by family and friends at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Ryan was born on November 30, 1991 in Fargo to Kim (Hamann) Seamands and Scott Seamands. He grew up in West Fargo and was a graduate of West Fargo High School in 2010. Ryan was a senior at North Dakota State University awaiting graduation in the spring of 2014. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching and participating in all kinds of sports, working out at Sanford Wellness Center and hunting and fishing with his dad, brothers, grandpa, uncles and aunts. Ryan also loved being a student at NDSU and took his grades very seriously. We will always miss hearing him whistling a song upon his arrival home.

Jessika Henrickson
Jessika Henrickson was born in Dothan, Ala., on November 7, 1987 to Eric and Rene' Henrickson. In her own words, Jessie told us, "I love laughing and, of course, making people laugh. I love serving people." She was daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, Auntie Mama and friend, and the embodiment of joy. As she herself said, her "goal in life is to live everyday to the fullest for the glory of my unconditional loving, awesome Lord."

Jessika joined her father Eric Henrickson and her grandmother Nancy Henrickson in Heaven on November 3, 2013. She leaves behind her mother Rene' and stepfather Tom Omlid; sisters Erika and Rebekah Henrickson; grandfather Everett and step-grandmother Lina Henrickson; grandparents Butch and Betty Newton; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
