Stephen Flaten
Stephen E. Flaten, age 59 of Fargo, ND and formerly of Park River, ND passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Manocare Health Services of Fargo.
Stephen Earl Flaten was born December 17, 1952 in Park River, ND the son of Harold and Mary Jane (Kalgard) Flaten. He attended school at the North Dakota School for the Deaf in Devils Lake, ND. He graduated from Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C. with a degree in Accounting. Following his education he worked for the United States General Accounting Office in Washington DC. In 1990 he moved back to North Dakota and worked for Opportunity Partners until 2010 when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. He moved to Park River for a time and later moved to Manocare in Fargo.
