She has lived most of her life in California. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lloyd, Hartley, Ernest and sisters Ann Holter, Teresa(Tessie)Ekren and Janice Hovelson. She is survived by her children Lynette, Anita, Juan and grandchildren all of Hysperia, CA. She is also survived by a brother Raleigh Halvorson, Fargo, ND; and sisters Louise Pederson of Edingburg, ND; Carol Olson of Waco, TX and Bette Hildebrand of Fargo, ND. Burial services are pending at Sigdahl Lutheran Church in Tolna, ND. Memorials can be sent to Sigdahl Luther

Myron Geldreich, 86, Hawley, MN, died on Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Myron F. Geldreich was born on October 2, 1926, in Brampton, ND, to Ernest and Amelia (Reisenweber) Geldreich. He grew up and attended school there and then farmed with his father. He served in the U.S. Army and then returned to Brampton for a time. He moved to Hawley, MN, and worked at the Hawley Elevator and Ireland’s Lumber Yard before becoming a gravel truck driver for Kost Brothers.

Elaine D. (Schmidt) Meehan, 86, West Fargo passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo.

Elaine was born September 23, 1926 in Sheldon, North Dakota to Gustave and Louis (Manske) Schmidt. She grew up Sheldon, graduating from Sheldon High School. She married James J. Meehan on June 30, 1951 in Moorhead, Minnesota. The couple had two children, Sandra and Roger. They lived in Fargo before moving to West Fargo where they made their home. James J. passed away on June 19, 1996.

Kathryn “Toddy” Spiekermeier
Kathryn “Toddy” Spiekermeier, 95, of Fargo died Wednesday. Kathryn was born to Andrew and Mary Sorenson, March 12, 1918, in Casselton, ND. She attended Valley City State College, majoring in business, and worked in banks in Hendrum, MN and Casselton, ND. She married the late Arnold Spiekermeier Sept 16, 1940 in Sheldon, ND. They farmed for many years near Sheldon and later owned a grocery store there. They retired in Tucson, Az, where they enjoyed the climate and meeting new life-long friends. The couple moved back to ND in 2001 residing in West Fargo. Toddy was always active in the community, school, and church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking, video solitaire, and people.

She is survived by her children: Donna (Lloyd) Redmond, Hot Springs, MT; Linda (Dennis) Bjugstad, Walcott, ND; Becky (Dennis) Radtke, Lake Havasu, Az; and Doug ( Alice) Spiekermeier, Pelican Rapids, MN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Lloyd J. Gregoire, 81, of East Grand Forks, MN died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Lloyd Joseph Gregoire was born on November 12, 1931 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Delbert “Bert” and Effie Gregoire. Lloyd grew up in East Grand Forks and attended Sacred Heart School, graduating with the Class of 1949. On November 14, 1951 he was united in marriage to Ethel Jeffrey at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks. Lloyd owned and operated Bert’s Truck Equipment in East Grand Forks and retired in 1990. They made their home in East Grand Forks and spent retirement at Maple Lake, and in Mesa, AZ.

Gladys Vivian Ouse, 86, a resident of Rothsay, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. She lived her entire life in the Rothsay farming community.

She was born February 8, 1927 on the family farm near Rothsay, Minnesota to Lars and Mathilda Trosvik. She grew up in a large family and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School.

Lorraine Finney, 81, of Georgetown, MN, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Lorraine Ziegler was born on September 21, 1931 in Georgetown Township to Carl and Veryle (Barclay) Ziegler. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated high school in Hendrum, MN. Lorraine married Milton Finney and together they had three sons and a daughter. She stayed home and raised her children until the youngest started school. She then worked at the Georgetown school as a cook, and later at the high school in Hendrum until her retirement.
