Loren C. “Mick” Messerschmidt, 81, Glyndon, MN, died on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Loren was born on September 4, 1932, in Glyndon, MN, to Edward and Clara (Brush) Messerschmidt. He grew up and attended school there. He entered the U.S. Army on December 9, 1952 and served in Alaska with a tank company, 4th Infantry, until 1954. He returned to Glyndon.
