Allen V. (Al) Warkenthien, age 78, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Clark, SD, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Fargo following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16th, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clark. The Rev. Gary Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark.

Pearl Loftsgard
Pearl Loftsgard, 91 of Fargo and formerly of Park River, ND passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her home in Fargo.
Pearl Larson was born March 25, 1921 in rural Walsh County, the daughter of the late Olaf and Lena (Lien) Larson. She graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. Pearl was united in marriage to Eugene Loftsgard on October 18, 1946 in Park River where they made their home. They recently moved to Touchmark Assisted Living in Fargo, ND.

Mildred Bjerke
Gladys Mildred Warwick was born October 30, 1918, near Del Rapids, SD, to Ole and Johanna (Brende) Warwick. She attended country school and graduated from the eighth grade.
Mildred married Clifford Vernon Bjerke on June 1, 1937, in the Crocker (SD) Lutheran Church parsonage, and they made their home in Milton, WI. They also lived in Janesville, WI, before moving back to South Dakota. They had five children: Joan, Phyllis, Alice, Philip and Daniel. Mildred and Clifford worked for Charley Blackman until they purchased their own farm in 1949, in Clark County, SD, where they made their home. They attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church for many years. Mildred taught Sunday school and was also active in the Ladies Aid.

Kenneth Haugen
Kenneth Haugen, 69, of Alexander, ND passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Essentia Health Center in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alexander. Pastor Mark Kindem will officiate and interment will be held at the Alexander Cemetery. Ken was born March 5th, 1943 in Williston to Orville and Dorothy Haugen. He grew up on the family farm south of Alexander and graduated from Alexander High School in 1961. He then attended NDSCS, Wahpeton, for two years and graduated with a Diesel Mechanics degree in 1963. He was also a member of the ND National Guard during this time. He married Louise Rolfsrud on June 12, 1964 in Watford City and they made their home in Fargo for five years where Ken worked for Butler Machinery. In 1969, they moved to the Haugen family farm near Alexander so Ken could continue the farming operation for his Dad. After 42 wonderful years of marriage, Louise passed away in 2006.
