Wayne State powers past Dragons in football opener
MOORHEAD – Wayne State sophomore Adam Stark ran past Minnesota State Moorhead’s youthful secondary twice in the first quarter. The Dragons never recovered. Stark hauled in two long touchdown passes in the first nine minutes to spark the Wildcats to a 49-6 victory Saturday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football at Alex Nemzek Stadium. The game was the season and conference opener for both teams.

Robert Molland
Robert T. Molland, a native of North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Northern Nevada Hospital in Sparks, Nevada. He had resided in Sparks, NV for three years. His wife, Arlene M. Molland and his four siblings, Dorothy Raden, Leland Molland, Adelaide Helt, and Franklin Molland predeceased him.

Robert Thomas Molland was born November 25, 1926 to Thomas Molland and Myrtle Phillips Molland in Nome, North Dakota. Robert attended Nome, ND Public School and graduated from Fargo High School in 1944. He started taking classes at Valley City Teacher’s College before enlisting in the United States Navy Reserve as an apprentice Seaman in Ames, Iowa from 1944-1946. Robert received an Honorable Discharge in 1946.
