Rudolph "Rudy" Neumiller
Rudolph "Rudy" Neumiller was born on a farm near Box Elder, Montana, on June 26, 1917, to Christ Neumiller and Mathilda (Morlock) Neumiller. He died at the age of 95 on December 3, 2012, in Carrington, North Dakota.

His parents returned to North Dakota the same year Rudy was born, and farmed in the Heaton and Sykeston area. Rudy attended the Cottonwood School north of Heaton, ND. Rudy joined the Civil Conservation Corps in 1936, and worked near Troy, Idaho on a road building crew. He said that he once saw an entire boxcar of dynamite blown to create a tunnel. Rudy and Adeline Kurtz were married on November 9, 1944 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sykeston, ND, where they had both been confirmed. They first lived on a farmstead just north of Sykeston, and moved in 1949 to a farm west of Sykeston. They moved to Sykeston in 1980 and to Carrington in the fall of 2007.
