Anna Geffre
Anna Mary Geffre was born on November 2, 1945, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Weigel) Geffre in LaMoure, ND. She grew up in this area and graduated from LaMoure High School in 1964. Ann furthered her education at North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Following her graduation she began working at Kindred Electric in Kindred, ND, later moving to Minneapolis where she worked for an advertising agency. Ann moved to Fargo in 1973 where she began her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Fargo working there for 30 years. Shortly after her retirement, Ann returned to the workforce, working for her nephew at The Lockshop as the bookkeeper until 2012.
At age 8, Ann contracted Polio which affected her throughout her life. Despite her challenges she never let any of them get in the way of her accomplishments. Her determined spirit and loving heart will be remembered by all of her family and those who knew and loved her. In the past few years, Ann had made her home at One Oak Place in Fargo where she appreciated the many friends she made - especially her card buddies. She was also very active in her church and bible study, and volunteered for Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Richard August “Dick” Hein, age 96 of the Audubon-Detroit Lakes, Minnesota area passed away on March 2, 2013, at Oak Crossing Transitional Care Unit in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Richard Hein was born on August 19, 1916, to Edward and Delphine (LaFromboise) Hein in Grafton, North Dakota. He attended school in Grafton. Dick lived and worked on the family farm and delivered milk for the family dairy. He lived an idyllic life until a food poisoning tragedy took his two older sisters, a brother, and his parents when he was fourteen years old. As a teenager, Dick worked on neighboring farms as a teamster and farm laborer. As World War II approached, he moved to Englewood, California, and worked for North American Aviation building the B-25 Bomber. He joined the Army Air Corp and trained as an aircraft mechanic. Later, Dick was selected for pilot training that continued until the war ended. Following the war he returned to Grafton and worked as an agronomist and field supervisor for American Crystal Sugar Company. Richard was united in marriage to C. Margaret Elton on August 17, 1947, at Audubon, Minnesota. In February of 1951 they moved to Audubon where they farmed until they retired in 1987. Dick was known for his outstanding dairy herd. His herd won many awards for conformation, and for many years the Dairy Herd Improvement Association recognized his herd as the top producing herd in the region.

Florence E. Jahnke, 90, formerly of Durbin, ND went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 4, 2013 at The Lodge on Summit Oaks, Burnsville, MN.
Florence Elvebak was born on Nov. 7, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA to Peder and Ella (Larson) Elvebak. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Florence was an honor student at Polytechnic High School and attended UCLA. On March 19, 1943, she was united in marriage to Wallace B. Jahnke. After Wallace was discharged from the US Air Force, they returned to Wallace's home in North Dakota, where they farmed, ran the Durbin store and the Post Office and raised 7 children. Wallace passed away in April of 1993, shortly after they celebrated 50 years of marriage. In 1997, she moved to Burnsville, MN and last October moved to Prior Lake, MN.
