Dorothy J. Penuel was born on January 8, 1923, in Fargo to parents George and Berdie Jenson. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central in 1940.

Dorothy attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, Fairview School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN, and Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. She went to work at NDSU at the School of Chemistry and Physics, where she worked for 20 years. She transferred to UND, as Assistant to the Dean of the College of Business. She retired in 1997 after 30 years and a total of 50 years with the University system.

Harold Bosak
Harold "Louie" M. Bosak, 78, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Harold, son of Michael and Raymonda (Gehrig) Bosak, was born June 13, 1934, in rural Barnesville, MN. He attended school, ran track, played football and was President of the Student Council for the Barnesville Trojans. Harold attended Interstate Business College and Moorhead State University, where he played football. Harold also served in the US Army, 94th Engineering Battalion, Company A, in Germany until 1954.

Donald Fredrick Stibbe, 82, died on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sanford Health on the Palliative Care Unit in Fargo, North Dakota. Donald was born at home on August 20 1930 near Erie, North Dakota.

Donald graduated from Hunter High School. He farmed and raised livestock northwest of Hunter. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hunter, North Dakota.

Ardell Skeim
Ardell Skeim, 87, of Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Ardell was born February 27, 1925, in Alberta, Canada, to Albert and Mabel (Lund) Lomsdal. Ardell moved to Ulen, MN, when she was 17. On December 1, 1944, Ardell married Arnold Skeim in Ulen. Together they made their home in Moorhead for a few years before moving to Dilworth, MN. Ardell worked at the Super Valu Warehouse in Fargo as well as Freddy’s Lefse Bakery for several years. She loved making lefse and always had it ready at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Ardell and Arnold moved to their lake home when he retired. She loved spending time at their lake home and did so until later moving to Moorhead, where she had most recently resided. Arnold passed away in September of 1997.

Ardell is survived by her son, Larry of Moorhead; daughter, Darlene of Holland, TX; grandchildren, Dale, Tami, Rene (Charlene), and Dion. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; brother, Doug Lomsdal; sister, Shirley (Joe) Matula; and several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Gert Lomsdal.

Harry H. Klotz Jr.
Harry Herby Klotz was born October 16, 1932, in Moorhead, MN, to Harry and Lillian (Narverud) Klotz. He was raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and graduated from high school, in Fargo, ND, in 1950.

Harry married Evelyn Nelson June 27, 1952, in Fargo. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and they returned to Fargo following his discharge. Harry worked for a time for Manchester Biscuit, Fargo, and then Rothouse Construction as a commercial painter. He worked for many years as a custodian in the Fargo Public School system.

Norman W. Lichtsinn
Norman W. Lichtsinn, 80, Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Sanford Health, Fargo, due to complications from an injury sustained in an automobile accident.

Norm was born on August 15, 1932, in Graceville, MN, to Frederich and Henrietta (Ulrich) Lichtsinn. He grew up on a farm near Dumont, MN, and graduated from high school in Morris, MN. He attended the University of Minnesota and then enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1953, serving until May of 1955. He returned to Wheaton, MN, where he farmed with his brothers until going to work for Farm Bureau Insurance. In 1964 he moved to Moorhead as agency manager for the Clay County Farm Bureau Insurance agency. Norman married Carolyn Larson on July 9, 1977 in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead. He opened Lichtsinn-Anderson Insurance Agency in Moorhead, and continued to work up until his death. Norm loved gardening, fishing and hunting. His love for his family was the defining feature of his life. He was a generous and caring man, always putting others before himself.
