Elaine Pomeroy McKellar died peacefully in her home in San Mateo, California, with her family at her side, on Jan. 8, 2014. The cause of death was cancer. She was 69 years old.

Elaine was the daughter of Ralph and Myrtle Pomeroy of Valley City, N.D. and a graduate of Valley City High School (1962) and the University of North Dakota (1966).
