Berniece Holden
Berniece Isabelle Holden, 87, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks.

Berniece was born February 26, 1926 in Lake Park, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Mathilda (Marshall) Moen. Berniece moved to Ayr, ND with her family in 1926. She attended Ayr School for eleven and one half years, graduating from Page (ND) High School in 1945. Berniece played on the Ayr Rifles high school girls basketball team that won five State Championships from 1939 - 1944. She also worked with her parents in the Page Hotel and Café.

Norman Albertson
Norman Albertson, age 98, of Twin Valley, MN, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the Twin Valley Living Center.

Norman Albertson was born August 1, 1914, at Syre, MN, to Clarence and Hannah (Dullum) Albertson. As a young boy, he grew up in Flom, MN, where he attended a one room school house until age 10. His father, Clarence, took a job as a P.V. Elevator grain buyer in Syre and Norman continued his schooling near Syre, through the 8th grade. School bus transportation was not available to attend the high school in Twin Valley so that ended his formal education.

Levi was born on January 16, 1919 to Henry and Annie Carlson in their family home in Preston Township ND. He attended Libak School through the eighth grade then farmed with his father near Nome, ND.
