Eugene “Gene” Peterson, 78, Mandan, died May 28, 2013 at a Mandan care center. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 31, at St. Anne’s Church, with Fr. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m., Thursday, with a Rosary at 7:00 at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Philip Dudley Stafne
Philip Dudley Stafne, 70, a life-long resident of Fargo, passed away on May 21, 2013 at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, surrounded by family, friends, Villa Maria staff and assisted by Hospice.

Born in 1943 to Dr. William Arnold and Elizabeth Dudley Farnham Stafne, he graduated from Fargo Central High School and later St. Olaf College, where he was a member of the Viking Male Chorus. In 1968, he graduated with a JD from the University of Denver Law School. He was admitted to the Bar in Colorado and North Dakota and served in the US Army, with his last posting in Frankfurt, Germany as a legal clerk.

Clinton J. Kutz
Clinton J. Kutz was called home by the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Carrington Health Center, with his wife and children at his side. While knowing this was God’s will, we had to let him go.

Clinton was the middle child born to Rudolf and Ann (Schaack) Kutz on January 1, 1920, at Cathay, ND. Clinton was an active member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic church. He attended schools in the Sykeston area, and one of his greatest moments in high school was being a member of the Sykeston 6 Man State Championship Football team in 1936!

Daniel Floyd Tack, 72, of Dilworth, MN, lost a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND.

Dan was born May 27, 1940, to Floyd “Bud” and Shirley (Baker) Tack in Grand Forks, ND. He attended school in East Grand Forks, MN. He was united in marriage to Sharon A. Lukaszewicz on August 1, 1968. They made their home in East Grand Fork, MN. Dan worked 30 years in Grand Forks hospitals: United (Altru), St. Michaels and Deaconess. He also was a volunteer fireman for 20 years at the East Grand Forks Fire Department. In 2001 they moved to Dilworth, MN, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He was employed part time in his retirement years with FM Trucking and the Doublewood Inn of Fargo.
