Donald Ordahl
Donald Ordahl, 79, of Milnor, ND died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Donald Arwood Ordahl, son of Arnie and Gladyce (Bolstad) Ordahl was born on May 4, 1934 at DeLamere, ND. He grew up and attended school in Milnor. On April 14, 1961 he married Sharon Dietzler, daughter of Clarence and Georgia (Gary) Dietzler at the Milnor Lutheran Church. They continued to live in Milnor where they raised their six children. Throughout the years, Donald worked at Nelson Implement, the creamery, and RSR Electric which he retired from in 1997 after 36 years. He was also a part of the U.S. Army as an Honor Guard where he was stationed in Hawaii and California. Donald was very proud of his life and years in Milnor, and his biggest accomplishments were his family and his wife.

Denise Elizabeth (Savageau) Lahn
Denise Elizabeth (Savageau) Lahn was born on July 17, 1963 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Richard "Dick" and Mary Ann (Steidl) Savageau. She graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo. Denise attended the College of St. Benedict and received a degree in elementary education. Denise returned back to Fargo where she taught for 3 years in the Fargo Catholic School Diocese.

Denise was united in marriage to Richard "Rick" Lahn on June 27, 1987 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Fargo. To this union the couple was blessed with a son, Andrew. The family moved to Sartell in 1988, where Denise worked in the St. Cloud Catholic School Diocese for 24 years. She taught grades 1-8 at various times throughout her career. In 1998, Denise was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer and successfully went into remission. In 2007, the family moved to Zimmerman and Denise worked as a volunteer coordinator and receptionist at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish. Denise and Rick moved to Alexandria in March of 2013. Right after moving to Alexandria, Denise had a follow up with her doctor and found out that the cancer had returned and was more aggressive. Denise fought courageously and went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 17, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Karien L. Zimmerman
Karien L. Zimmerman, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her earthly and heavenly loved ones.

Karien was born on April 10, 1918, in Duluth, MN, to Raymond and Huldah Welsch. She spent her childhood in Duluth and graduated from Duluth State Teachers College (UMD) in July of 1939. Upon completion of college, she moved to Rothsay, MN, where she taught school for three years. It was in Rothsay where she met her future husband, Lester "Les" W. Zimmerman, and on April 25, 1941, they were married in Rothsay. For a period of time during WW II, she moved to several places around the country to accompany Les as he fulfilled his duties in the U.S. Army.
