Io A. Severson, age 93, formerly of Fargo and Fessenden, died May 20, 2013, in Fairfax, VA.
Io, the daughter of Carl and Tilda (Johnson) Wignes, was born November 29, 1919 in Hamberg, ND. Io was a farm girl who enjoyed being outdoors around the farm. She attended rural country school, graduated from Fessenden High School in 1938, then attended Minot State Teachers College (now University). She was united in marriage to Harold Severson, also from Fessenden, on February 6, 1942.
