Grace Elizabeth was born September 11, 1925, to Harry and Gladys (Smart) Marsden, in Hendrum, MN. She graduated from high school and moved to Fargo where she worked for Northwestern Bell.
Grace married Carl R. Krabbenhoft, Jr. on November 27, 1953, and started her career as loving wife and mother in Sabin, MN. She loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, crossword puzzles, and was active at her church. Grace died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, at eighty-seven years of age.

Steven Wesley Saum
Steve was born on July 26 1961 in Canby, MN to Estle and Shirley Saum. His family moved to the country when he was a small boy and he spent great deal of time exploring the woods, swimming in the creek, and developing a love for the outdoors and for hunting. He excelled in sports in high school and graduated from Canby High School in 1979. He went on to play football at the University of Minnesota Morris and graduated in 1983 with a degree in English Literature. He spent the next 12 years working with adults with developmental disabilities in various capacities throughout Minnesota. In 1996 Steve earned an MS in counseling and human development at Minnesota State University Moorhead. While he was working on his PhD in Clinical Psychology, he worked as a counselor at the Village Family Service Center and Southeast Human Service Center. He received his PhD from the Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, in 2006. Steve spent most of his professional career focusing on work with Adult Sex Offenders as well as Domestic Violence perpetrators. He provided program direction for the ND State Hospital Sex Offender Treatment Program and was clinical supervisor at The Village. He also worked at Solutions Behavioral Health Care Professionals, Benson Psychological Services, and was an adjunct professor at Jamestown College. In addition he served on numerous professional committees, including the Governor’s Task Force on sex offender treatment and did a great deal of public speaking on a variety of mental health care topics.
Steve had a long standing love of the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, which was shared with family members and friends. He enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking and attempting to learn the art of Bonsai. He was known for being able to take whatever ingredients he had available to him to create an outstanding dish. Steve liked to read, play guitar, do crossword puzzles, and engage in a lively conversation.

Della Johnson
Della M. Johnson, age 103, of Fullerton ND, went to be with our Lord, January 20, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society of Oakes ND.
Della Matilda Johnson, born October 31, 1909, daughter of George and Susanna Johnson, Swedish immigrants and pioneers, of Fullerton ND. Della grew up on the family farm with 12 brothers and sisters. She attended Algrove School #2 (formerly Rosebud) and graduated from Oakes High School in 1926. She received her degree in elementary education from the State Normal and Industrial College, Ellendale ND (UND Branch) in 1961. She taught school for 34 years in North Dakota, Idaho and Minnesota, before retiring to the family home in Fullerton, ND. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary for over 70 years. She attended the Lutheran church in Fullerton and later in Oakes. Della loved crossword puzzles, Scrabble, crafts, reading many newspapers, tracking family history and visiting with family and friends. Teaching for many years allowed Della to know families for many generations, remembering them by name and always asking about them. Della lived independently until her mid 90's, when she moved to the Good Samaritan Society of Oakes.

Hal Neugebauer, 94, West Fargo, ND died on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Halbert D. Neugebauer was born Dec. 1, 1918 in Mitchell, SD to Robert and Cecelia (Stahl) Neugebauer. He grew up near Mitchell and attended school in Letcher, SD. He taught in a one room school and drove the school bus. Hal married Clara Titze on Dec. 25, 1941 at Mitchell. He then served in the US Army during World War II in Australia and New Guinea. Upon his honorable discharge, Clara and Hal made their home in Fargo, ND where he worked for the ND State Health Dept. as a field representative, a job he held until he retired. He was an active member at Olivet Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and served on many boards and committees. He was a member of Sertoma Club and the FM Barbershop Chorus for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger days and loved to golf. Later in life, he enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Wilbert Hofmann
Wilbert Hofmann, 85, Jamestown, ND, formerly of Medina, ND, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Wilbert was born November 18, 1927 in Medina, the son of Jacob P. and Mathilda (Mueller) Hofmann. He attended rural country school in Peterson Township thru 8th grade. He enlisted in the US Army on February 21, 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on January 28, 1953 and returned to North Dakota. On October 4, 1953 he married Nyra Jean Johnson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pettibone, ND. They farmed northwest of Medina until 2005 when they moved into Medina. Nyra passed away May 9, 2010. Passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Inver Glen Senior Living. Marcella Dorothy Tuma was born November 8, 1918 to James and Antonia (Kolar) Tuma, in St. Paul, MN. She attended St. Stanislaw’s Grade School and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School. After high school she worked as a domestic helper. Marcella married Lake L. Ward on December 2, 1943 and resided on the West Side of St. Paul, where they raised four children. Marcella volunteered at the St. Joseph’s Hospital Gift Shop and spent eleven years working at Van Arsdells (later Herbergers) in Signal Hills. After Lake retired they moved to Lakeville. Lake passed away in 1995 and Marcella moved to Inver Grove Heights. She volunteered many hours at DARTS. In 2010 she entered the Inver Glen Senior Living. Marcella was a long time member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, crochet and attend family gatherings. Marcella is survived by her children, Patricia (Steve) Jungbauer, Estes Park, CO; Robert (Lillian) Ward, Inver Grove Heights, Kathleen (Joseph) Loney, West Fargo, ND, Paul (Debbie) Ward, Inver Grove Heights; sister-in-law, Jeanette Padget, in Arizona. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday at the Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole Ave. West St. Paul. Visitation 8:30-10 AM prior to Mass. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Alzheimer Association.

Adeline Viseth Hayes passed away on January 12, 2013 at the Sanford Palliative Care Unit.
Adeline Marie Rohman was born October 7, 1922, in Cummings, ND to Walter and Mary (Schreiner) Rohman. She grew up in rural Mayville, ND, and attended Bingham School near Hillsboro, ND. She graduated from Demming Beauty College in Grand Forks, ND, and worked as a beauty operator for several years. Adeline married Gerald Viseth, October 30, 1943, and they resided in Mayville, ND.Together they had 12 children; 6 boys and 6 girls. She wasemployed at the Mayville Sate College for a number of years. She moved to Fairmont, MN, where she lived for 5 years, then moved to Fargo in 1984. Adeline married William Hayes on July 6, 1996. They moved to Bethany Towers in June of 2005. William died in 2006 and Adeline continued to make her home at Bethany.

June O. Johnson, 91, Fargo, ND died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Essentia Health, Fargo.
June Olive Isackson was born Oct. 14, 1921 in Wahpeton, ND to Henning and Borghild (Bakken) Isackson. She attended school in Wahpeton and Nansen Township. June married Rueben O. Johnson on Sept. 15, 1940 in Bethany Lutheran Church rural Abercrombie, ND. They lived in Wahpeton, ND until 1944 when Rueben went into the Army. June and children, Bruce and Judy, lived with her parents on their farm in Nansen Township until he returned home in 1945. June worked with her husband on their farm near Colfax, ND until 1971 when they moved to West Fargo, ND. She worked with Rueben in the insurance business in West Fargo. She taught Sunday school, was ladies aid secretary/treasurer, and was a member of the altar guild and church choir at Galchutt Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Galchutt Homemakers Club. She was presently a member of Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo.

The world became a little less dynamic when Beverly Malme Seashore died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Hospice of Arizona, Del Webb Inpatient Unit in Sun City West, Arizona. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few days earlier, Bev began hospice care September 7th. She died peacefully and painlessly, attended by family.
