Ellis Loren Brandt was born on October 8, 1927, at Brantford, ND, the son of Carl and Leona (Gettle) Brandt. He grew up on the family farm near McHenry and attended country school and later received his GED. Ellis served in the US Navy from 1945-1948, then returned to the family farm.

Age 92, of Brooklyn Center, MN, on March 10, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at North Memorial. Wally was born April 26, 1921 to James & Victoria in Hopkins, MN. He was united in marriage in 1941 to Lorraine “Boots” Keiser for 60 years. Wally worked life-long in the dairy business at Franklin, Minnesota Milk, Dairy Fresh Creameries. Wally enjoyed all sports. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler & golfer. He especially enjoyed his backyard patio, enjoying the garden, feeding the squirrels and birds. Wally and Boots enjoyed many years of country music dancing and trips to Texas. Wally and son Michael enjoyed frequent trips to Little Pine Lake in Perham, MN, visiting son William and his wife Judy for fishing and card games. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lorraine “Boots”; and brothers Arnold and Earl. Survived by sons, Michael and William (Judy); sister, Esther Coleman; 1 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Service 12 noon Friday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
