Louise Olson, 91, Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Wyndmere, ND passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 21, at 2:00 PM at Wyndmere Lutheran Church, Wyndmere, ND with Rev. Harvey Henderson officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 pm at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton, ND. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Louise was born on December 2, 1922 in Fargo, ND to William and Fannie (Henderson) Johnson. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1940 and North Dakota Agricultural College (NDSU) with a bachelor's degree in home economics in 1944. She attended Iowa State College for four summers and received a master's degree in vocational education in 1952. On September 10, 1955, Louise married Milo Olson at the First Baptist Church in Fargo. They made their home on the Olson family farm in rural Wyndmere, ND. In retirement, the couple wintered for 18 years in Brownsville, TX.

Mary Ellen Gumeringer, 83, of Esmond, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Villa Maria Nursing home in Fargo surrounded by her family as they reminded her of the wonderful things she did in her life. She was comforted by the wonderful staff of the Villa Maria and Hospice.

Mary Ellen was born to Vivian and Loretta (Arens) Donahue in Bowbells, ND on September 14, 1930. She was raised on the family farm in Flaxton, ND. She attended school in Flaxton and graduated high school from St. Mary’s Academy in Devils Lake, ND. Mary Ellen then worked at the County Superintendent Office in Bowbells, ND. This job helped her pay for her degree at Minot State College in Elementary Education.

Esther Nitschke, 91, West Fargo, ND loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo.

Esther Miller was born Oct. 15, 1922 near Ashley, ND to Gottlieb and Pauline (Reich) Mueller. She was the 3rd of 4 daughters and 3 sons. Esther and Matt Nitschke were married Dec. 1, 1945. They lived in the Ashley area until moving to West Fargo in 1950. Esther was a member of Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo. She was active in her church singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, helping at summer Bible School and ladies afternoon circle.
