Christopher “Chris” Loe
After a most valiant and courageous battle with acute lymphocytic leukemia, Christopher “Chris” Loe crossed over to his heavenly home on January 14, 2013, at 4:42 a.m., at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on March 4, 1972, in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Bob and Mugs (Rector) Loe. He grew up in Dilworth, Minnesota, and graduated from Dilworth High School in 1990, where he participated in football and started his musical career with his first band, C.O.D., in his freshman year. Upon graduating, he began touring with various bands all over the country, which led to a move to Minneapolis for a period of 7 years. He then returned home to attend college at Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. He graduated from MSU in 2000 with a degree in music education. He began his teaching career in Rochester, Minnesota, for a year, after which he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and taught for the Clark County School District for 12 years. He obtained his Master’s of Arts at Lesley University in Las Vegas. He was employed by Simmons ES as the music specialist at the time of his passing.
On July 22, 2000, he was united in marriage with Andrea McNamar in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. They made their home in Rochester for a short time, before making the decision to relocate to Las Vegas. On June 22, 2004, they welcomed their first of two children, son Zian.Their second child, daughter Mylee, was born on March 3, 2007.

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois’ defense helped launch the Leathernecks into a tie for first place in the Summit League men’s basketball standings. North Dakota State shot just 34 percent from the floor and attempted only five free throws on Saturday. That performance led to the Bison’s first conference loss of the season, as they fell 50-42 to the Leathernecks.
