Mike Holland, 79, West Fargo, ND died on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Michael Lee Holland was born Aug. 26, 1934 in Browns Valley, MN to Rudy and Muriel Holland. He graduated from Browns Valley High School. Mike married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Schiefelbein on Oct. 6, 1953. They made their home in Fargo. In 1956, Mike received his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from NDSU. He was a staff pharmacist at the Fargo Clinic from 1957 to 1964. In 1959, they moved to West Fargo. With the encouragement of Dr. Kulland, who owned the West Fargo Medical Center, Mike started The Prescription Shop in West Fargo in 1964. In 1969, they relocated to its current location at the corner of Sheyenne St. and 13th Ave. Mike managed the West Fargo Medical Center for many years as well as owning and operating The Prescription Shop. He retired in 1997, but continued to remain active in the family business. Mike and Shirley enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers at Big Cormorant Lake.

Martha Elizabeth Glower, M.D., 50, passed away on December 17, 2013 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dr. Glower was born on November 5, 1963 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Having been raised in Fargo, she graduated from Fargo South High in 1982. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Chicago and her Medical Doctorate from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago.
