They farmed near Gardner, ND, for many years and moved to Fargo, ND, in 1998. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A woman of many talents, she was well known as the "nurse on call" because of her willingness and ability to offer family and friends assistance and support, especially during times of illness, injury and/or crises. Lu taught herself to sing beautifully in both English and Norwegian and responded to countless calls to be a soloist for funerals, church services, ALCW conventions and other special occasions. Lu's family and friends enjoyed listening to her play the organ which she mastered on her own. She was a knitter, a crocheter and a needlework artist who could fill a gallery with the pictures, afghans and sweaters she made.
