Lorraine Genevieve Noles, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

She was born July 22, 1918, in Binford, ND, the daughter of Herman and Lena Osen. Lorraine graduated high school in Devils Lake, ND and went on to attend Concordia College and Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. Following graduation from the Business College, Lorraine was employed with CH Carpenter Lumber Co. in Valley City, ND. After the U.S. entered World War II, Lorraine became a Civil Servant taking on a bookkeeper position at the Adjutant General's Office in Washington DC.

Naomi L. Allmaras, age 82, of New Rockford, ND, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.

Naomi L. (Eckert) Allmaras was born April 2, 1931, to Gertrude (Schlichting) and Joseph Eckert, Sr. at Garrison, ND. The family moved to Underwood, ND, and then to New Rockford, ND where Naomi graduated from high school in 1948. She attended Minot State Teacher's College and graduated with a Standard Teaching Certificate in 1950. She taught at Sheyenne, ND, for one year.

Gail John Gabel, 75, Hankinson, ND died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 surrounded by family at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Gail was born December 28, 1937 in Max, ND to Elmer and Magdalene (Krebsbach) Gabel. His family moved to Hankinson, ND when he was 5 years old. He received all of his education through St. Frances Academy in Hankinson and graduated high school in 1956. After graduation, Gail entered the Army and served two years. He was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany for nearly 12 months. Upon discharge, Gail worked in construction and on the railroad for a short time before beginning his trade as a brick mason. He was a proud member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union and was recognized as a 50-year member on November 14, 2012. Gail took great pride in his masonry skill and was widely recognized in the area for his craftsmanship.
