Marjorie Aaland, 80, of Northwood, ND passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northwood. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:00p.m with a 8:00p.m. prayer service at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center Dining Room Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Otto, Hatton, ND; Daughters: Deborah (Randy) Trostad, McVille, ND, Mary Aaland (Richard E. Quinn, deceased), Fargo, ND, Laurie (Mark) Krotz, Mesa, AZ; Son: David (Deb) Aaland, Hatton, ND; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Amber) Trostad, Cassondra (Travis) Schock, Sarah (Marco Munoz) Haggerty, Rebecca (Peter) Graham, Elizabeth (Mike) Froelich, Zach Peterson, John (Bridget) Aaland, Alyssa Aaland, Allison Aaland; Great-Grandchildren: Kenedy and Brinley Trostad, Brandi and Hunter Schock, Tristan Froelich; Siblings: Gerald (Ruth) Thingelstad, Northwood, Rosalie Dobson, Vista, CA. Marjorie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Elinor Irene Gilbertson, 100, Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.

She was born on January 8, 1914 to Henry and Mina (Jacobson) Gilbertson at Audubon, MN where she attended school and she was employed at the State Bank and Post Office. In 1947 she moved to Fargo working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, later U.S. West Telephone Company, as an operator and Assistant Chief Operator for 12 years. In 1961 she transferred to Bismarck as District Traffic Instructor for the West District. She moved back to Fargo in 1976 and retired from Northwestern Bell after 28 years, 10 months, and 10 days of service.
