Cheryll Louise McDowall, 67, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at St. Gabriel’s Community.

Chery was born June 2, 1945, in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Bernice (Bliss) McDowall. She was raised on the family farm and attended grade school in McKenzie, North Dakota. In 1961, the family moved to Bismarck. She graduated from BHS in 1963 and was active in Honor Society, Concert Choir, Debate Team, Hi-Herald Staff, Orchestra and Rotary Guest. She attended the University of North Dakota before embarking on a bus adventure around the United States.

Viola M. Seward, 78, of Richwood, MN, died Thursday, March 14, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Viola is survived by companion, Allen Knopf, Richwood, MN; three daughters, Mary (Kevin) Boit, Detroit Lakes, MN, Vicki (Dan) Alder, Lake Park, MN and Dawn Seward, Moorhead, MN; son-in-law, Gene Bartnes; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Nena Bartnes; sons, Joe and Jeff Seward; son-in-law, Dennis Mackner; siblings, Marie Moran, Fritz, Dick, Jackie, and Lilian Shaw.

Visitation: Tues., March 19, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Lake Park, MN.
