Eldred George Kollman
Eldred George Kollman, 93, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014 surrounded by his family and holding his wife’s hand. He was born June 18, 1920 outside of Plentywood, Montana. He graduated high school and moved to Fargo where he met the love of his life, Joyce (Peewee) Larson. Three months later, they married on October 4, 1941.

He was drafted into the U.S. Air Corps and they travelled the country from base to base. He then was transferred to the U.S. Army where he served for two years in the 32nd Red Arrow Infantry Division fighting in the Philippines. After V-J Day, the 32nd Red Arrow was sent for clean up duty on mainland Japan after the two atomic bombs were dropped.

Rebecca "Becky" Pederson, 49, Jamestown, ND died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Jamestown.

Becky was born January 1, 1965 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Clark and Delaura (Leine) Gripentrog. She received her education in Wahpeton, ND and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1983. She attended Jamestown College where she received her nursing degree. On November 9, 1984 Becky married Matt Pederson in Wahpeton. She worked as a nurse in Minnesota, North Dakota and Kentucky. She was currently employed by the City of Fargo for Fargo Public Schools.

Ed was born July 31, 1937 to Clifford and Marion Milligan in Barnesville, MN. They say he looked like a little angel and now that his life is over he still thinks that he is an angel but like the song says, “He is an angel with no halo and he has one wing in the fire” but he has earned his right for eternal rest because he has always believed that Christ was the one that would save his soul and now he is in the arms of his maker, Jesus Christ. He is also reunited with his beloved wife, Lou, who more than likely has asked him: What took you so long?

Robert Bruce McKibben
Robert B. "Rob" McKibben, 64 of Minneapolis, MN formerly of Fargo and Valley City, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 as a result of complications due to Diabetes.

Rob was born in Valley City, ND on March 7, 1950 to Robert E. and Eunice (Mikelson) McKibben. Rob graduated from Valley City High school in 1968. After graduation, he went to Concordia College of Moorhead for his bachelor's degree. He then went on to dental school at the University of Minnesota and received his D.D.S degree in 1976 and shortly after opened his dental practice in Valley City, ND. He enjoyed working and living in the community in which he grew up, and was a member of the International College of Dentists, the Regional Board of Dental Examiners, and President of the Central District Dental Society. He retired from dentistry in 2010, after 30 plus years working chairside with Nancy Rierson.

Janice E. (Thoe) Aafedt, age 71, of West Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014, at her home.

Janice was born on May 29, 1942 in Valley City, ND and raised by Elmer and Jessie (Currie) Thoe. She group up on the family farm in Dahlen, ND with her parents and brother, Harley. Janice graduated from Dahlen high school in 1960. She then moved to Minneapolis, MN where she attended school to become an assistant dental hygienist. After graduating, she moved to Fargo, ND where she worked as an Assistant Dental Hygienist, eventually marrying Roger Aafedt on June 21, 1961. In 1967 they moved back to the family farm in Fordville, ND where they raised their three children. In 1990 Janice moved to Fargo where she worked for 20 years as a nursing assistant until she retired in 2011. Janice loved music, cards, sports, and spending time with friends and family.
