Wayne K. Anderson, 61, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Arthur, ND, died Tuesday, January 8, 2014, in Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo.

Wayne Kent Anderson was born in Fargo on January 7, 1953, to Arvid and Janet Anderson, when the family lived at Hillsboro, ND. In March, 1953, his family moved to a farm at Arthur, ND, where he lived for 44 years. Wayne was born with Down's syndrome, and he enjoyed farm life and learning to drive tractors and trucks. With his three-wheeler, he cleaned the ditches along Highway #18 by the farm and his summer job was mowing grass on the farmstead with his IH Cub tractor.

Lorine D. Holschuh
Lorine Delores (Moen) Holschuh, 90, passed away January 2, 2014 at Touchmark in Fargo, ND. Lorine was born in Mahnomen, MN on December 27, 1923, to Ingvald Moen and Elida Rukke Moen, the second of two children. She graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1941 and went on to graduate from a five-year nursing program at the University of Minnesota, receiving her B.S. and R.N. degrees in 1946. She served as a County Nurse for Sherburne County from 1946 to 1948.

Lorine married Reginald Holschuh on December 27, 1947 (her birthday) and they made their home in Minneapolis where their four children were born. In 1957 they moved to Moorhead where she spent her time raising her family. Beyond her family, she loved music and was an accomplished musician, playing the trumpet, the accordion, the piano, and the organ. She cherished her Norwegian heritage, joining the Sons of Norway, volunteering at their lunches, taking Norwegian language classes, and traveling twice to Norway. Lorine was known and loved by many for her optimism, warmth, and kindness.

Harvey Johnson
Harvey Johnson was born March 21, 1928, in Hibbing, MN, the youngest child of Carl and Evelyn Karlstrom Johnson. His Depression-era youth was spent exploring the ore mounds and balsam and tamarack forests of the Iron Range. To his widowed mother's credit, Harv never knew his family was poor.

After graduating Hibbing High School in 1946, Harvey spent two years serving "Uncle Sam" in the U. S. Navy, specializing in electronics. Following military discharge, he attended Hibbing Junior College and Purdue University, where he completed a degree in physics in 1952.

Richard C. Blanding, 93, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home. At Richard’s request, there will be a memorial service at a later date.

Richard Charles Blanding was born January 21, 1920 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Henry Dix Blanding Sr. .and Ruth (Eddy) Blanding. Richard, known as “Dick” to his friends and family, became part of the third generation of Blandings in this Becker County town. While growing up, he attended Detroit Lakes schools and was an accomplished athlete, the captain of the 1937 football team, and also earned letters in Basketball and track. He attended college at the University of Minnesota, was president of his Theta Chi fraternity, and graduated with a BBA degree.
